It's June today, so I think we can all start getting excited for summer.
And summer isn't summer without a gin and tonic. What? Have you never heard that rule before? You're missing out, folks.
The UK is sort of drowning in gin lately. It's everywhere. We've even had gin and tonic easter eggs this year. But that doesn't mean there isn't a room for a new bottle to pile onto the shelf. The more gin the merrier, that's what I always say.

Especially when the new one is a) cheap and b) delicious.
Happily, our good friends at Lidl have us covered with their latest alcoholic release. The budget supermarkets are really spoiling us lately, with Aldi selling award-winning wine for six of your English pounds.

And, now just in time for summer, Lidl has launched a limited edition of its award-winning Hortus gin.
Award-winning, so you can feel a bit posh, while you're chugging your gin out of a massive Sports Direct mug. Nothing but the best for you.

The new summery version sounds absolutely amazing, and has notes of rosehip, hibiscus and fresh orange. Fancy.
Anyone else thirsty?

Would you like to hear the best part? It costs just £15.99, a fraction of many high-end gins. So you can buy twice as many. Or, I don't know, some nice mixers or something.
Even the bottle looks properly fancy, doesn't it? You wouldn't be ashamed giving your mum this for her birthday, would you? Not like the time you got her the Tesco Value vodka - what were you thinking?

I can't wait to get my greasy mitts on a bottle, to be honest. Summer can officially start when I'm downing one of these on some plastic patio furniture.
