Poundland Has Just Brought Out Toblerone Dupes And They're Pretty Chunky

Poundland Has Just Brought Out Toblerone Dupes And They're Pretty Chunky

Finally our prayers have been answered.

Remember last year when we all had our hearts broken by Mondelez International's announcement that Toblerones would be decreasing in size?

Christmas was ruined in many households right across the UK when the company behind the chocolate bar announced it would be dropping its 170g ones down to a measly 150g. There was outrage. It was like when Freddos went up by 10p, but, worse, if anything.

We don't like when people mess about with our chocolate in the UK, do we?

Social media was abuzz with upset chocolate lovers - mostly blaming Brexit, because it was thought the cost of leaving the EU had forced up prices for ingredients.

Well, all is not lost guys. If you've missed the chunkier Toblerone, then Poundland have just brought out this mind-blowingly similar-looking dupe, called Twin Peaks (fantastic name, by the way), which features a double mountain design and weights 180g, making it 30g bigger than the real deal, and it costs just one of your British pounds.

A spokesperson from Poundland told the Metro: "Poundland shoppers are savvy and the change in their favourite chocolate bar last Christmas didn't go unnoticed.

"That's why we've created a new £1 alternative for them - the size they wanted, with a British taste, and with all the spaces in the right places."

Well, that's me sold. I'm off to buy ten.
