If you think Oreos dealt only in black and white, then you're
way behind the curve. The company has pushed the boat out with new flavours
that go beyond the standard cookies and cream staple, with exotic tastes like
peanut butter jelly, jammy doughnut and marshmallow peep. And that's just a few
of the offerings that have been given to us in recent years.
M&Ms, too, is known for throwing a few curveballs as far as flavours go. There's been Hot Chocolate, Cafe Mocha, and Pumpkin Spice Latte - and that's before we've even exited the warm beverage themed corner. If you fancy a walk on the wild side, there are options like Chili Nut, Pecan Pie and White Strawberry Shortcake.
Similarly, if you're one of those people who thinks that Christmas is getting earlier and earlier, then you're in luck, because Halloween is getting even earlier, too. The summer is still going and we're a full nine weeks out from the end of October, but that hasn't stopped the promotions and spinoffs coming early this year.
What we're getting at here is that there's a Halloween Oreo in the offing. In M&M form. Gimme, gimme, gimme.

The classic cookies and cream Oreo flavour is being mashed up with M&Ms to make a Halloween-themed 'Cookes & Screeem' flavour candy that will feature a dark chocolate, white specked exterior and a white chocolate interior. Scary stuff, particularly if you happen to be a dentist.
M&Ms hasn't been adverse to a holiday-themed promotion or two in the past. Last year's Halloween was marked by a White Boo-terscotch effort, while there was also a Holiday Mint offering and an Easter Sundae flavour.
In fact, reading between the lines, one leading expert in the field of flavoured M&Ms - and if the existence of such a thing isn't a signifier of the downfall of Western Civilisation, we don't know what is - thinks that the Easter Sundae flavour might be a predictor of what is to come with the Cookies & Screem.
"We've flirted with this concept before: Easter Sundae M&M's were white & milk, and Double Chocolate M&M's were milk & dark" said Junk Banter, the Insta of choice for snackheads.

"Of course this is all spooky foreplay for the Triple Chocolate M&M's coming this winter, which have milk, dark, & white."
We'll have to take their word for that. For now, though, let's just revel - no pun intended - in the existence of Oreo M&Ms. Savour it, these golden years cannot possibly last.
