Man Opens Fire On Two Teens Playing Pokémon Go

This is going too far.

A while on from its release, Pokémon Go is showing no signs of fading away.

Every which way we turn it seems there's someone hunting a wild Drowzee while simultaneously waving goodbye to any shred of life they had left.

There's two sides to the app: the popular, obsessive, 'this is the greatest thing ever' side, and the 'I fucking hate it, and everyone who plays it' side.

You'd think, though, that no matter how much someone would hate the app, they wouldn't go as far as shooting people over it.

A man shot two Pokémon Go players outside his home in Palm Coast while they were sat outside in a car at 1.30am.

The 37-year-old, who hasn't been identified, mistook the 16-year-old and 19-year-old for burglars, so shot at them with a handgun, according to a Flagler County Sheriff's Office statement.

The homeowner overheard one of the lads saying 'did you get anything?', referring to a wild Jigglypuff, or some other kind of Pokémon. He then approached them, standing in front of their car.

The pair accelerated towards him, forcing he 37-year-old to dive out of the way. He then fire shots at the rear of the vehicle, according to the Sheriff's Office statement.

The teens were not injured in the incident, although their car suffered bullet holes in the hubcap, fender and rear tyre.

This game is going way too fucking far.
