One cancer patient who was given one year to live has overcome the odds to become cancer-free.
Kye Eastwood had been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma back in 2012 and told the tumour in his chest had stopped responding to treatment. And worse, that it had spread.
Kye's family stayed strong in their pursuit to help him. A pursuit that took them to Houston, Texas, after coming across a contemporary stem cell therapy.

Eager to make a change in any way, Kye's family set up a fundraising appeal. It ended up raising over £30,000.

When Kye got to the Houston clinic, he was diagnosed with mediastinal B-cell lymphoma - a rare type of lymphoma located between a patient's lungs.

His sister Rebecca donated stem cells in order for Kye to undergo a T-cell transplant and after numerous revisits, was told he had beaten the illness.
Last Tuesday Kye and mum Amanda flew back for an appointment.
Amanda said: "Kye and I were in a mall and I went to the restroom.

"When I came out, Kye kept saying 'let's go, let's go'.
"He didn't want to tell me in the middle of the mall in case I screamed or started to cry."
"When we got back into the car, he said he had something to tell me and not to get upset and I instantly thought the worst as he'd been a while having his scan done.
"I started to cry and just couldn't stop. Even now, I get tearful when I think about it as I just can't believe it.

"Kye was full of smiles and said he felt elated and we FaceTimed his dad, brothers and sisters and grandparents."
It was on Thursday when they received the all-clear.
"Thank goodness for the work and money the US has put into cancer treatments." Amanda said.
"I am the happiest mother in the world right now."
