Chris Pratt has revealed how he got into shape for Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. Shockingly, it involves working out.

The 37-year-old actor worked with a trainer six days a week in the lead up to playing Peter Quill in the 2014 release of GotG, losing 60 pounds in six months.

"Six months no beer. #GOTG Kinda douchey to post this but my brother made me," Pratt wrote beside an Instagram post last July.

His training was a mixture of running, swimming, boxing, kickboxing and one triathlon. "Three or four hours a day of just consistent, ass-kicking hard work," he revealed to Men's Fitness.

"I was peeing all day long, every day," Pratt added, after a nutritionist had upped his caloric intake to 4,000 a day, as well as advising him to drink lots of water. "That part was a nightmare."

He opened up further to People Magazine, saying he, "actually lost weight by eating more food, but eating the right food, eating healthy foods, and so when I was done with the movie my body hadn't been in starvation mode.

"It wasn't like I was triggered to just gorge myself and get really fat again.

"[Now] it's something that I think I can maintain because I don't spend four hours in the gym each day. I do maybe one hour in the gym maybe four days a week, and that's it."

Pratt told Vulture: "I just like to gain weight and lose weight. It's a roller-coaster. I just want to do this. I want to touch God."

And with that, lads, I now have a new Tinder bio.
