Vinnie Jones Starts Carpet Fitting Business With Childhood Friend

You may have thought professional hard-man Vinnie Jones's foray into acting after a decade in English football was a surprise move, but it's not quite as interesting as the one he's made from acting here in 2016: to set up a carpet fitting business.

Jones and childhood mate Danny Deacon are set to launch Deacon Jones on the Saracens Estate in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.

Speaking to the Hemel Gazette, Deacon - a father of two with 25 years experience in the conventional flooring business -said Jones approached him saying, "'Let's go into business 50-50.'"

"Vinnie's just as you would expect, hard but fair, absolutely no-nonsense, but very generous," he added.

Jones, famous for starting out a part of Wimbledon FC's 'Crazy Gang' in the 80s carved a name for himself in Hollywood following his appearances in films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Gone In 60 Seconds.

Deacon Jones already counts Bradley Cooper and Robbie Williams among its clientele.
