It won't be long until there's a new President of the United States, but have the candidates considered how much one of the most stressful jobs in the world actually pays?
According to AOL, Barack Obama earns a surprising $400,000 (£270,000) a year, plus an extra expense allowance of $50,000 (£34,000).
That may not seem like an awful lot at first, but it is ten times the average yearly wage of $45,230 (£31,000) in the country.
The second highest paid are anesthesiologists, who earn an average annual salary of $246,320, just over half what Obama brings in.
One thing we shouldn't forget is that salary is rarely the same as income for rich folk.
While his salary might be $400,000, Barack's income in 2011 was around $790,000, (£548,000) all thanks to investments and royalties from books.
The perks that come with the job are alright too...
The President also receives free transportation in the presidential limousine, a boat, a private jet, an annual pension of about $200,000 and top health care. Oh and a pretty nice crib to live in called the White House.
Is it worth all the stress? I'm not so sure. I think I'd rather just bang in 18 goals a season in China for £300,000 a week.
