How long should sex last? It's an age-old question which, when it comes down to it, is all about preference. While some might like a frantic three minute rollercoaster ride, others are more inclined to a slow and sensual marathon.
Even so, the aptly named Penis Perception Study has attempted to determine an optimum sexual time frame. It asked 14,000 people how long they think sex should last.
The study, conducted by Kristen Mark, Assistant Professor and Director of the Sexual Health Promotion Lab at the University of Kentucky, found that both men and women wished their sexual encounters lasted twice as long as they actually do.

The average time for sex is apparently three to eight minutes though most men, of course, claim they can go for a full ten.
However, the survey, funded by Fusion (a company that makes treatments for premature ejaculation), found that men wish sex lasted for 20 minutes while women want it to last for 15-20 minutes.
Hear that lads? You need to aim to do more in less time.
