How To Get A Steaming Hot (And Fresh) Burger And Fries From Maccies Every Time
I love Maccies. I really do. In fact, I used to work there and it was great. It's the cleanest place I've ever worked and (although it was a pain in the arse to clean everything all the time) to this day, I still love going there because I know it's top-level clean.
However, sometimes the chips aren't piping hot. This is something that happens when you've got hundreds of people coming through and asking for food quickly - hence the name 'fast food'. You make a big batch and occasionally they're not premium level hot when you, the customer, get them.
Well, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. And every McDonald's worker in the world is going to hate me for it.
First of all, if you want piping hot fries - ask for them with no salt. This is because the poor employees then have to clean out the utensils and containers and make a fresh batch. Generally, all the chips are salted. So you're guaranteed to have them fresh. Please, spare a thought for these employees though because it really is a massive ballache. Use this life hack sparingly. Anyway, then you just add salt out of the sachets.
Secondly, if you want a piping hot burger... all you need to do is ask for one small change. Like extra sauce, for example. Because it has to be made from scratch. You can't just get a pre-made burger and add sauce.
Even asking for no pickle (or gherkin) would require a fresh burger.
So there you have it. To all McDonald's employees - I am so sorry. But the world needs to know.
