Man Documents His Drive Through The Roughest Areas Of Detroit

A sorry state for the once thriving city.

Over here, from a British layman's perspective, the U.S city of Detroit is synonymous with aggro and dejection.

But that wasn't always the case. In 1960, Detroit had the highest-per-capita income in the entire of North America. Now, horrificialluy, 60% of children in the Michigan city are living in poverty. Its murder rate is 11 times higher than New York City, 78,000 homes are abandoned and have a debt of around $20 billion.

This new video of one man's tour through Detroit at night is a savage indictment of that decline.

We see roadside fires, flocks of gangs, twerking prostitutes and hit-and-runs.

It's a reminder to not take what you've got for granted.
