Over Half Of The 'Anti-Trump' Protesters Arrested In Portland Didn't Actually Vote

No vote; no opinion.

If you don't vote, are you really allowed to be pissed off when it doesn't go your way? Well, no. You're not. Unless you had a spectacularly good reason for avoiding the polls (for example, a dog was asleep on you and you didn't want to move or, you know, you were in hospital or something) then you either like it or lump it.

That's why things like this really piss me off. More than 50% of the 112 anti-Trump protesters who were arrested in Portland didn't actually vote.

Don't get me wrong, peaceful protesting is sound. I'm partial to a bit of it myself. However, at these protests some people decided to throw burning road flares at police officers, smashed up shop fronts and cars and spray painted police cars too. Not cool.

According to Daily Mail, 71 people were arrested on Saturday, with more arrests made over the following days as Portland played host to some of the most violent demonstrations.

The total was 112 arrests, and at least 70 of these didn't bother to vote - there's still some investigation going on to identify whether the last 17 voted or not.

Fair enough, some people may have got involved in the protesting just to cause trouble and aren't actually political... but who knows anymore?
