Money is fucking great.

But what's better than just money? Money that is worth more than it's actual worth.

There are many coins that are worth a fortune, but because we're such slaves to money, we're more interested in spending it, rather than checking if we're sitting on a rare collectors item.

These people, for example, sent what they thought was a fake coin to be destroyed, until they were told it was worth £2,000.

The 2p coin was found by Poppy collectors inside a Royal British Legion collection tin, and assumed it was fake due to it being silver, rather than copper.

It is in fact a rare collectors item, which Royal Mint confirmed.

Royal Mint revealed that it was actually the result of a 'minting error' when a blank 10p was accidentally put in a 2p mint.

Branch chairman Richard Tilney said: "The Legion has a corporate partner who sells old medals and coins, and they are going to take it off our hands for a handsome price."

"The Poppy Appeal is very dear to our hearts and it would be fantastic to get the money to the right place."

Get checking your pockets people, you never know what you might be sitting on.
