Putin 'Could Be About To Quit' His Position As Russian President

What's happening to the planet?! It's like 2016 put a bet on itself to be as messed up as possible. Whether you like Vladimir Putin or not, I didn't see this one coming.

The Mail Online reported that Kremlin political analyst Valery Solovey said Putin 'may step down due to certain circumstances'. From what we can tell, it seems to be health-related.

On news website Moskovsky Komsomolets (MK), Solovey stated in an interview dubbed 'Thunderstorm 2017': "As you see, this hypothetical situation is very nervy from the point of view of Russian policy."

"And let me stress once again, this information is not absolutely reliable. Still, it should be considered."

Weirdly, he then spoke on social media regarding the interview and seemed to back-peddle: "Before the end of the year, the respected audience will get confirmation of everything mentioned in the much talked-about interview."

So now he's confirming that Putin will definitely be stepping down?!

I'm confused. But basically, we're probably not going to be seeing much of Putin in 2017.
