This Is What YouTube Gave PewDiePie For Hitting 50 Million Subscribers

Up until a few weeks ago, I'd happily lived my whole life without watching a YouTuber do what they do. I'd heard of PewDiePie from his gaming stuff but never paid much interest. Now, I can't go onto Facebook for two seconds without seeing his face.

Yeah, well done. You hit 50 million followers and you have a beautiful girlfriend and you're rich as fuck. Okay, cool. Stop rubbing it in.

Anyway, his whole 'I'm going to delete my YouTube channel when I reach 50 million followers' plan worked. He got 50 million and then deleted a shitty old account he didn't use. Genius.

To mark his 50,000,000 subscribers (to put that in perspective, 53 million people live in England), YouTube sent him some goodies. Wow, isn't that nice.

So as you can see from the video above (if you could be bothered to watch it all) he got eight mini 'brofists' (which he graciously decided to give away to seven of his longest-serving followers and one randomly to a commenter, which is actually really nice) and a massive brofist for himself.

To be fair, he ended by saying: "I know I shit a lot on YouTube, and I don't want it to seem like just because they did this for me, like all the problems have gone away. Just taking all that aside for a minute - YouTube really has given me everything.

"Its given me so many opportunities. Its made my life from being in a very terrible place to an amazing life that I couldn't ever have even dreamed of having.

"It's thanks to you Bros, but without YouTube none of this would've happened. I don't want to take that for granted. I don't want to seem ungrateful in that way. YouTube really has given me so much and it has been an incredible journey that I will never ever forget.

"I am incredibly proud of reaching 50 million subscribers. I'm proud of so many people. It's not just me. This is not just me. I don't want it to seem like that way. I owe a big thanks to YouTube. Thank you."

Fair play to him then.
