According to The Guardian, an agreement has been reached between United Airlines and Dr David Dao.
The doctor, who was hauled off a United Airlines plane earlier this month, hired two sets of lawyers following the incident which saw him bloodied and humiliated.
The medic was roughly ejected from the flight, despite having a valid ticket, because the airlines 'overbooked' the flight. Dao was asked to leave, but refused because he was 'trying to get to work' and had patients waiting for him.

Footage filmed by a passenger on-board the plane went viral on social media, with people rushing to condemn the way security treated the 69-year-old man.

The Independent is now reporting that Dao's lawyers have reached "an amicable settlement" with the airline, due to the injuries their client sustained.

Attorney Thomas Demetrio has said that the exact figure Dao will receive will remain confidential, though it will be a huge sum.
Given the shocking incident, as well as the media attention it gained, Demetrio praised United Airlines' CEO for doing the right thing.
"Mr. Munoz said he was going to do the right thing, and he has," he said.
The airline has reportedly made changes since the incident, claiming they "will put our customers at the center of everything we do."

A few weeks ago Demetrio said that the doctor found the shocking actions taken by staff more 'horrifying and harrowing' than living in Vietnam during the war that lasted twenty years.
Lawyers for Dr Dao say being dragged from
Dao left the war-torn country in 1975 when Saigon (the then capital) fell. His lawyer told the media that "when Saigon fell, and he [Dao] was on a boat, he said he was terrified. He said that being dragged down the aisle, was more horrifying and harrowing in what he experienced leaving Vietnam.
"That was his response, so I give it to you," he ended.

In describing how Dao felt about what had happened, his lawyer also revealed the extent of his injuries.
He said Dao "did in fact suffer a significant concussion as a result of disembarking the plane," his lawyer said.
"I can also tell you that he had a serious broken nose," Demetrio continued. "He had injury to the sinuses, and he is going to be undergoing reconstructive surgery on that record.
"There's been a lot of enquiries about 'did he lost any teeth?', yeah he lost two front teeth," he added.
