Lad Arrested For Teaching Dog How To Do A Nazi Salute

Oh no.

Having a pet dog can be a bottomless pit of fun.

They're always up for a fun activity and you can teach them to do pretty much anything.

Teaching a dog to give someone a high-five, to 'play dead', or to walk on its hind legs will never get old, so I'd suggest starting with those.

However, with a list of things you should definitely teach your dog to do, comes a list of things you shouldn't teach it.

High up that list is: kill someone, support Donald Trump and do a Nazi salute when someone says 'gas the Jews'.

Markus Meechan was blissfully unaware of this when he taught his girlfriend's pug to do the latter.

The 28-year-old call center worker spent the night behind bars after a video he uploaded of the two-year-old pug watching Hitler speeches and doing a Nazi salute went viral.

Detective Inspector David Cockburn believes that the arrest should be a warning to people posting videos on the internet that may cause offence.

In a statement, he said: "This clip was shared online and has been viewed almost one million times. I would ask anyone who has had the misfortune to have viewed it to think about the pain and hurt the narrative has caused a minority of people in our community.

"The clip is deeply offensive and no reasonable person can possibly find the content acceptable in today's society.

"This arrest should serve as a warning to anyone posting such material online, or in any other capacity, that such views will not be tolerated."

Since, Markus has apologised for the video and has insisted that he meant no offence by it.

He was arrested on the 28th of last month and was kept in custody overnight, but was then released on bail from Airdrie Sheriff Court the next morning.

Despite the fact the video was made to simply piss off the 28-year-old's girlfriend, Sue, Jewish leaders have condemned him.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities said: "Antisemitism is not something that can in any degree be regarded as a joke. It is a form of racism which needs to be condemned just as we would any other form of racism, just as we would condemn Islamophobia or anti-African racism."

The video has been viewed more than 900,000 times on Markus' YouTube account Count Dankula.
