RIP Lane Graves.

Following the vast criticism of the parents of toddler Lane Graves who was attacked and killed by an alligator at a Disney resort beach, another mother has shared pictures of her own son standing in the same spot just an hour before.

Jennifer Venditti shared the images of her three-year-old son Channing wading in the Seven Seas Lagoon at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando at around 8.30pm on Tuesday night.

Just under an hour later, around 9.20pm, Lane Graves, aged two, was dragged underwater by an alligator as he paddled in the water close to his parents Matthew and Melissa.

Despite 'no swimming' signs at the beach, there is no warning of alligators, and Disney are said to now be reviewing the signs following the incident and subsequent criticism.

Venditti said in her Facebook post:

The Graves family, from Nebraska, has come under heavy criticism but it's good to see parents in a similar position standing with them. There's no way they could have expected an alligator to snatch their child.

Authorities spent 17 hours looking for the child's body before eventually recovering him 'intact' from the lagoon. His father had tried to save him from the jaws of the alligator but couldn't pry the toddler from the creature.

The parents are unlikely to be charged with any sort of neglect, given they were just yards away from their son when the tragedy occurred.

Lane Graves' death was the first in such circumstances in Disney's Florida resort's 45-year history.
