More bad news for United Airlines as a man manages to get stung by SCORPION on a flight from Houston to Calgary.
Richard and Linda Bell were on United flight 1418, travelling home from a holiday in Mexico when they were surprised by one eight-legged, uninvited guest.
It leapt from the overhead compartment, landing straight on Richard's unassuming head.

Linda told Global News: 'I looked down and I thought, 'aw, it kind of looks like a little lobster'.'
The honey-coloured scorpion was about an inch and a half long.
When it eventually fell onto Richard's plate, he went to pick it up and remove it from the scene only for it to sting him
'It felt like a wasp sting,' he told Global News.

"The pilot announced it," fellow passenger John Rogers told GlobalNews.ca. "Because (Bell) was bitten, emergency services, the fire department and police boarded the plane."
Bell denied medical treatment in the end, according to an EMS spokesperson
United Airlines said his injuries were non-life threatening.
They said: "Our flight attendants helped a customer who was stung by what appeared to be a scorpion," a spokesperson for the airline said in an email. "Our crew immediately consulted with a MedLink physician on the ground who provided guidance throughout the incident and assured our crew that it was not a life-threatening matter."
