Seven-Year-Old Lad Who Grew His Hair For Two Years To Help Cancer Patients Is Sadly Diagnosed With Cancer

So heartbreaking.

Sometimes the world can be cruel.

It is at its cruelest, when something terrible happens to someone who does not deserve it.

Seven-year-old Vinny Desautels is one of those unfortunate people.

Vinny, who I'm going to label as a legend, because he epitomises the very meaning of the modern sense of the word, spent two years growing his hair so he could donate it to cancer patients.

Despite being teased for his hair growth, he managed to grow it to 13 inches. He then donated it to 'wigs for kids with cancer'.

After cutting off what had taken so long to grow, the cruelest possible twist of fate happened - Vinny and his family found out that he had stage four cancer.

Doctors found growths around Vinny's hip, cheek and right eye, but are still trying to figure out the exact kind of cancer the seven-year-old is suffering from.

"It is stage four aggressive cancer. Basically, what they found is that he has a significant growth on his hip and in the bone around the eye and behind the nose and on the cheek on the right side," Jason, Vinny's dad, told Fox 40.

Vinny seems as though he is one hell of a strong character, so he'll certainly be putting up a fight.

You can also help Vinny with his fight against cancer, as a GoFundMe page has been set up in order to lessen the weight of medical bills on his parent's shoulders.

Hopefully Vinny can overcome this twist of fate that he definitely does not deserve.
