A 14-year-old girl has survived a 25-foot drop from a fair ground ride in New York.
The terrified teen was photographed dangling from the gondola screaming, as shocked witnesses and employees watched on.
A number of people gathered beneath the ride, at Six Flags Amusement Park, in an attempt to catch her before the girl let go. She is believed to have a hit a tree branch on the way down, and was then caught by those waiting below. Amazing.

The Sky Ride was stopped by an operator after someone reported a rider in 'distress', officials told Sky News.
An eyewitness, Loren Lent, was able to capture the whole thing on video, which he uploaded to Facebook with the caption: "Girl falling from ride at 6 Flags Great Escape and they have NO means to rescue them.
"Thanks to the guys who banded together to catch her and the guy who climbed the tree to move the branches out of the way."

In a statement, Six Flags told Sky News: "There does not appear to be any malfunction of the ride, but we have closed the attraction until a thorough review can be completed."
It's not yet known why the teen, who is reported to have been on the ride with a family member, dropped from the ride.
