By now, you've probably definitely heard about the petition for a second EU Referendum.
The petition has been signed by over two million people, which means that it must be considered for a Parliamentary debate.
It turns out though, that the petition was actually set up by a Leave voter, who was worried that the Remain campaign would win the referendum.

William Oliver Healey, an English Democrat activist, created it over a month ago 'when it was looking unlikely that Leave were going to win'. Since, the petition has become the biggest of its kind, and so Healey has tried distancing himself from it.
Healey wrote on Facebook that he created the petition 'with the intention of making it harder for Remain to further shackle us to the EU', then saying it has been 'hijacked' by the Remain campaign.
According to The Independent, signatories are calling for a new rule to be implemented stipulating that polls on the European Union with a majority under 60 per cent and turnout under 75 per cent must be re-started.
It would be theoretically possible for the government to call a second referendum but it's very unlikely in reality as those poised to take charge backed the Leave campaign.
