America is struggling to come to terms with the fact Donald J. Trump is the president-elect. It's quite a feat to be less of an appeal than him, but Clinton managed it spectacularly. People simply didn't trust her and Trump offered an alternative to the political elite establishment that she represented.
After her epic loss she and her husband Bill - the former US president, who people actually liked, and had eight years in office, but was also a naughty boy - headed to upstate New York to Chappaqua, shutting themselves away from the drama for a while. Whether Jon Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga and Jay Z are with them is yet to be confirmed.

Urgh, it's so cliché that I may actually vomit. Margot Gerster 'happened' to be out hiking with her daughter when she ran into the woman of the moment who was walking her dog.
The chance encounter was documented with an obligatory picture showing the former first lady beaming from ear to ear and being in very humble spirits considering the shit storm surrounding her and despite the fact she just lost to a bloke who has never been in politics before.

Gerster wrote on her Facebook page:
"I've been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday's election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking."
"So I decided to take them to one of favourite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing.
"As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was.

"I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her.
"She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk."
Any other day, this post would just be another picture showing a fan and a public figure. But considering the fact that this was the first known photograph taken of the Democratic nominee following her recent defeat, the press was all over this like maggots fighting their way into a dead carcass.
Right on cue, the critics came out for feeding time and have since suggested that the photograph was staged, because it transpires this isn't the first encounter the pair had shared.
Critics found that when Gerster was in high school, her mother held a fundraiser for Clinton at Crabtree's Kittle House in Chappaqua.
Gerster and her sister posed for a photo with Clinton inside the restaurant, which happens to be one of the soon-to-be-ex-politician's politician's favourites, as the siblings smiled next to a beaming Clinton.

Gerster has since removed both photos from her profile on Facebook. Course she has. To be fair, however, she never said it was their first encounter.

Every so often I go to Broomhill Friery in Sheffield in the hope Sean Bean is there. Everyone says he goes in regularly but there I am, peering. He's never fucking there. Now that is a proper conspiracy.
