Donald Trump has overtaken Hillary Clinton by one percentage point in an opinion poll for the first time since May.
With a week to go until the US presidential election, this is particularly important.
The poll, undertaken by ABC, remains within its own margin of error - according to The Independent.

The election result has been deemed by many as too close to call, with controversies affecting both candidates over the last few months. For example, the infamous 'grab her by the p*ssy' comments by Trump, and Clinton's use of the wrong email server.
ABC has not recorded a lead by Trump since May when he was two points ahead, so this last-minute swing in favour couldn't have come at a better time for the Republican.

However, it is important to point out that opinion polls are not always 100 percent accurate. Remember when the Tories and Labour were neck and neck throughout most of the last General Election?
ABC has also been keen to point out that Mitt Romney was one point ahead of Barack Obama in a comparable tracking poll in 2012, and John Kerry was also +1 against George Bush a week out in 2004.
So at this point, who knows what the outcome will be.
