Vladimir Putin And Donald Trump Are Already Becoming Best Mates

Vladimir Putin has officially congratulated 70-year-old Donald Trump on his presidential victory.

According to The Independent, the State Duma also broke into thunderous applause when they heard that the US' new leader had successfully beaten Hillary Clinton in the most dramatic election in history.

The Kremlin released a short statement regarding Trump's win, reports PA. The statement said that Putin expressed, 'his hope to work together for removing Russian-American relations from their crisis state'. It added that he had confidence in, 'building a constructive dialogue between Moscow and Washington that is based on principles of equality, mutual respect and a real consideration of each other's positions, in the interests of our peoples and the world community'.

Russian website, Interfax.com, reported that 'cheering and clapping' muffled an announcement by the chairman of the country's parliamentary committee on education and foreign affairs, Vyacheslav Nikonov.
