Zach Galifianakis has said he would not let Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on his web series 'Between Two Ferns'.

While writer and director of the show Scott Aukerman said he "can't imagine a situation in which that would ever even occur. I just can't see him subjecting himself to that," The Hangover star was much more poignant.

He told the LA Times: "Doing it the other way doesn't interest me.

"He's the kind of guy who likes attention - bad attention or good attention. So you're dealing with a psychosis there that's a little weird.

"I wouldn't have somebody on that's so mentally challenged. I feel like I'd be taking advantage of him. And you can print that."

Galifianakis recently interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton where he asked her, among other things, "What happens if you become pregnant?"

Clinton and Trump had the first of their three presidential debate last night in New York's Hofstra University, moderated by Lester Holt, a registered Republican. It was more of an argument than a debate at times, but that's the US style, isn't it. Showbiz over solemnity.
