Armenian Weightlifter's Arm Snaps While Competing At Rio Olympics

This year's Olympics have been plagued with problem after problem. So much so, that we even asked whether or not they're cursed.

Well, Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan probably thinks they are after his left elbow snapped during weightlifting the 77kg (169lbs).

He attempted the 'clean and jerk' and what followed looks fucking horrific.

Oh daaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

Apparently, the 20-year-old was one of the favourites to get gold. That's a real slap in the face. To make matters even worse, right up until the moment the elbow dislocated it had seemed certain that he would win a medal which would be Armenia's first one in these Olympics so far.

Fuck sake. That poor bloke. Can we not just give him a medal for being hard as nails? We could make it out of... nails. I don't know, I'm just spitballing here.

Kazakhstan's Nijat Rahimov ended up taking the gold medal. I can't help but dislike him.
