After months of hype and build up, the Mayweather McGregor fight is finally here. In just a few hours we'll have our winner and the whole farce thing will be over.

It's fair to say most experts reckon it's going to be a Mayweather win.

The undefeated boxing champ currently has odds of 2/9 with Coral, whereas McGregor, who has never professionally boxed, has odds of 10/3 (a draw is on for 33/1).

However, it's looking like bookies might be getting a bit nervy, with McGregor's odds dropping recently - shortly after the fight was officially announced, Coral was offering odds of 5/1.

Despite the drop, John Hill, Coral's boxing expert told the Daily Star that a McGregor win would be an absolute disaster for bookies.

About £1m has been placed on the Irish MMA champ, but Hill is expecting a total of around £5m by the time fight is due to start.

Hill said if McGregor manages to beat Mayweather, bookies across the country would be looking at loses of around £250m, adding that it would be the worst sporting result in Coral's 91-year history.

The UFC star's popularity has seen fans happily parting with their cash to back him, despite experts predicting a Mayweather win.

Speaking to the paper Hill said: "It has all been one-way traffic - 80 per cent on McGregor. Quite incredible really when you assess Floyd Mayweather's record."

He also revealed that the betting firm has taken a £10,000 bet on McGregor when the odds were 5/1. Meanwhile, a bet of £20,000 has been placed on Mayweather, with the unnamed gambler looking to make a £5k profit if he wins.

Hill also told the paper who he would be backing: "On this occasion we're cheering on the favourite. We're desperate for Floyd to get the win." I'll bet you are, mate.
