So what is really up with the water?

Since the start of the Olympics in Rio, just about everyone has had something to say about the now infamous diving pool.

It's green. An Olympic diving pool shouldn't be green, but it is.

For days and days and days Olympic officials have been reassuring everyone that there's nothing wrong with the water and everyone needs to chill the fuck out.

And then today they decided to close it, which doesn't bode too well for that official IOC statement saying nobody's health is in danger, does it?

Even Tom Daley has shown his concern, tweeting:

The Rio pool's murky colour has been a hot topic of the Olympic Games, arguably more than some of the action.

The high levels of chlorine are making athletes nauseous and complaint after complaint has been made by some of the teams competing in the water.

Here's hoping no one is seriously hurt by the lacklustre maintenance of the diving pool. The Rio Olympics has been marred by controversy since it was announced as the host. Putting athletes' health at risk is the last thing they need.
