Mike Tyson has gone in on Floyd Mayweather for claiming he is a better fighter than Muhammad Ali.

Mayweather was speaking to ESPN a few months back when he said that judging by his fight records, he's the best fighter of all time.

But Tyson wasn't having that, adding that Mayweather was obviously 'delusional' if he thought he was as good as Ali.

Tyson said: "He's very delusional. Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great as Muhammad Ali, he'd be able to take his kids to school by himself.

"OK, he can't take his kids to school by himself, and he's talking about he's great? Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people. It's being accepted by the people.

"He can't take his kids alone to school by himself. He's a little scared man. He's a very small, scared man."

Fucking hell, he's not holding back, is he?

To Mayweather's credit, during the interview he did add: "If we're judging fighters on standing for a cause, then it's Ali hands down," before making his claims.

He went on: "Muhammad Ali paved the way for me to be where I'm at today, he's a legend. But when we talk about record breaking, we've got to talk about Ali losing his world title to a fighter with only seven fights...

"I have to take my hat off to Ali, but I didn't give this sport 40 years to say that there's another fighter better than me."

Mayweather retired 49-0, equalling the record set by Rocky Marciano, but is set to make a return to the ring as he gears up for one of the most eagerly anticipated fights of the year, against UFC champ Conor McGregor.

Tyson also had something to say about McGregor, too. He told Sirius XM Sports radio: "Conor McGregor is going to look really ridiculous boxing [against Floyd Mayweather].

"But if he goes in there with the UFC stuff, then it could be pretty interesting."

He went on to add: "McGregor does not win in a boxing match."

What do you reckon - is Tyson right?
