There's A New App Which Allows You To Delete Your Drunk Texts

Revolutionary, to be honest.

Drunk texts are the root of a universal embarrassment. We've all tapped one out or received one at some point. Sometimes, one can be way worse than the other, but I think we'd agree that sending a terrible text while fucked and then waking up the next day wanting to pole-vault into a black hole, is far more common.

But panic no more, there is now a free app called 'Protect Your Privates' which contains a message recall feature allowing piss-heads to instantly delete messages before they are read.

Such is the level of the app's savagery that it features a screenshot prevention addition that stops the receiver from cementing your awful decisions in their photo library forever.

This video below explains it a bit better and also details some extra security features, for all those who are really into security.

What makes this so special? On their website, they write: "All messages are encrypted end-to-end. Only the recipient can read them. Screenshot prevention mechanisms prevent recipients from forwarding, copying or saving your messages. Users can feel safe knowing Privates keeps your data not just encrypted away from the reach of hackers but also protects against screenshots. Features such as sending natural reactions, drawing and writing on photos makes Privates multifunctional and fun!"

There are "preset security settings you can use to protect your messages." Unread texts will expire after a period of time. They go as following:

Mild: 24 hours

Wild: 12 hours

Insane: 3 hours

"You can chose a security setting appropriate for your message. For example, a chat with a close friend might use the "Mild" setting while an especially sensitive photo might be sent with the "Insane" setting."

Look how content this man is, having deleted his "Hey, u up x' text

Comments on the video thus far have been split. Isaac Datika writes "Privacy and protection is always a good thing! Helps everyone from getting into trouble..." while turohabaneero says "I don't think God would approve this..."

But surely God would focus on tsunamis and serial killers rather than a iOS app? Who am I to claim insider knowledge of what the almighty one thinks, though?

Is it better to just live with the consequences and learn from it, though? Learn to realise the romantic intention behind your soppy messages to your ex at 4:36am? I think so, but this app is still pretty lit.
