Claire Byrne Live took an interesting turn this week as she interviewed a Wicklow dad who claims to make as much as €50,000 a month on OnlyFans.
Matty Gilbert, also known as the Irish Viking, has a huge social media following that he has converted into a paying subscriber base via OnlyFans.
He has almost 1.7 million followers on TikTok and another 50,000 on Instagram, which in turn is now over 3,000 people around the world paying $20 US dollars a month for exclusive content.
"I spend a lot of time, it's a 24/7 job. Everyone is in different time zones and you have to communicate with them," he told Claire.
"I get up in the morning and I message everyone back, most mornings I wake up to 250-300 messages. If you don't reply to them you're not going to keep them you have to keep them happy."
Matty has a small child and a partner, who is fine with his line of work.
"Obviously, I make content when I'm on my own, in the spare bedroom or when the kids are asleep," he told the RTE show. "She (his partner) is very supportive, we're like a team, everything I do she sees and we talk about it."
OnlyFans has allowed Matty to quit his job as a hairdresser and now become a fulltime social media personality.
His social media network of choice, however, confused plenty of viewers to Claire Byrne Live, who had been previously unaware of OnlyFans and what it is.
"Mam just goes to me 'do you know what only friends is?' Hahahaha" wrote one user on Twitter, following up with "Still can't believe she thought only fans was called only friends. first she's heard of it was tonight watching Claire Byrne"
Another posted: "As much as I love Claire Byrne (and I do) promoting OnlyFans is a bit dodgy to say the least...Also, I hope this dude is prepared for a visit from the taxman in the morning #cblive"
