Doting Dad Gets Heartbreaking News On 'Jeremy Kyle'

Doting Dad Gets Heartbreaking News On 'Jeremy Kyle'

Awful.

Another heartbreaking episode of Jeremy Kyle - but when you get a DNA test done on live tv to find out if the man who raised you is your real dad or not, there's always the possibility you won't get the answer you wanted.

For Valentine and his dad Oscar, the news was unhappy.

A month previously, Valentine's mum had told him she wasn't sure who his father was - and so they decided to go on The Jeremy Kyle Show to find out.

Oscar brought thirty-two-year old Valentine up and the doting father even paid for Oscar to travel to the UK from Nigeria to go to boarding school - which would have cost a pretty penny.

So Jezza did one of his DNA tests - and Oscar wailed in grief when he found out Valentine wasn't his biological son.

Both men were heartbroken.

Valentine has no idea who his real father is - and from the looks of it his mother doesn't know either.

Jeremy tried to make things a bit better by pointing out that they've been incredibly close for 30 years, and it doesn't have to change anything. "Being a dad isn't about being blood-related," he said. "It takes a man to look after a kid. Nothing can break that bond."

Around one in fifty men is raising a child he doesn't realise isn't his biologically in the UK. That's around two per cent of the population! And that seems really high, but the researchers who conducted the DNA study actually thought it was going to be ten times higher!

The researcher Dr Maarten Larsmuseau said that he thought it would be higher due to infidelity - and from watching The Jeremy Kyle Show!

Who knew that scientists watched the show?
