Homeless Man Given Job By Painters He Asked For Change

Faith in humanity restored.

Every now and again a story like this comes along and it helps restore my faith in humanity a little bit.

When a homeless guy in Manchester asked a some passers-by to spare some change, he probably didn't expect them to offer him a day's work.

However, that's exactly what happened on Tuesday afternoon.

The unnamed man was spotted helping the painters out as they worked on a building.

According to Manchester Evening News, the men asked the homeless guy if he had been drinking and when he said no, they offered him the opportunity to earn some cash.

"They had a bit of a long chat between them then he put his bag down and picked up a paintbrush and got to it," said Darren Wheatcroft, who sent pictures in to the M.E.N.

"He was being given tips and shown what to do, it was really great to see.

"The man really seemed grateful and was enjoying himself. He was having a chat with the other painters and people walking past were speaking to them too."

That small act of kindess probably changed his whole week.

Remember it's nice to be nice, people.
