What if you 'catfished' a loved one to keep tabs on their personal life only to find out they were secretly plotting your murder?

That's exactly what happened Patra Williams from Alabama.

She set up a fake Facebook profile under the pseudonym Tre 'Topdog' Ellis in order to dupe her 22-year-old niece, Marissa Williams, into revealing parts about of her life that Patra was unaware of.

To her utter shock, Marissa asked 'Tre' to kill her aunt.

Marissa was arrested for solicitation for murder but escaped on probation and has been on the run ever since.

Now, in a new documentary for Channel 4 called My Online Nightmare, Patra has opened about her ordeal of playing with fire and getting burned.

"I still wrestle with the thought of being deceptive towards her. But it was a necessarily evil," she said.

Patra added her niece, who moved in with her in 2014, and before she knew it, Marissa was messaging 'Tre' on the reg.

She revealed she hated her aunt and suggested the two should have sex in her bedroom as Patra slept.

"She was so angry with me,' Patra said. 'She totally disengaged from me. After that you could feel the tension in the house."

"I was just trying to be a doting aunt but I had no idea what I was getting myself into,' Patra explained. 'I just wanted to keep my eye on her."

Marissa didn't see the caring side of her aunt, instead consoling in 'Tre', who she eventually set up a fake date with.

When Patra attempted to ban her niece from leaving the house at unusual hours, Marissa lashed out via message.

"I feel so trapped, she won't let me see you! Fuck my auntie," Marissa allegedly wrote.

"Bitch don't know shit about me. I'm going fucking crazy. You gotta get me outta here. I hate her, I hate everyone here. I know how I can see you, come to the house and kill my aunt."

Patra was horrified at the insinuation, which soon became a confirmation. Marissa was hungry for the worst.

"I'm thinking no this isn't real," Patra said. "In the instant she said 'yes I want you to kill them all and the dog', she reiterated it."

"I was really scared, I truly was. She was so callous about it and specific."

Patra was left with no choice. She had to call the cops and put an end to this horrorshow.

"I remember hitting all three of those buttons, 9-1-1. I had a lump in my throat, I don't remember speaking cohesively. The other person on the end was trying to make sense about it, they wanted to know if it was real."

Marissa was bemused during her arrest, not to mention utterly speechless when her beloved 'Tre' turned out to be a catfish.

She escaped while on probation and is currently a fugitive.
