This time of year is famed for its surprises, but some of them get a bit larger than life.
The majority of us can expect to find a few hidden treats in our stockings, followed perhaps by a surprise admission from our nans after a few too many Bailey's, but this woman got a bit more than that.
Jennifer Doering was trying to sort out a special surprise present for her adopted daughter when she found that the 10-year-old actually has a secret twin.

The mother, from Wisconsin, wanted to find Audrey's 'finding ad', which was placed in a newspaper when she was put in an orphanage.
Along with her husband Tom, Jennifer decided to try and sek out some information about Audrey's ancestry, so contacted a website that specialises in finding things out about adopted children.
She was then sent a picture taken at the orphanage, but when it arrived she realised that it included her daughter's twin, who they were never told about.

Another family had adopted Gracie, Audrey's twin, around a similar time to Jennifer and Tom. The couple found the other parents on Facebook and gave the two sisters a chance to talk to each other over FaceTime.

As you'd predict they've become very close and are now planning to meet each other face-to-face, which would be the best Christmas present ever for the pair of them.
