Try not to get emotional.

Is someone chopping onions? Ah, no, it's Dwayne Johnson once again going above and beyond to be a legend and do another heart-warming gesture.

Johnson, an ambassador for Ford, was asked to unveil the company's brand new 2018 Mustang (which looks peng, by the way). On his Instagram page, he said that he was of course happy to do so, but with a twist.

He and the car maker compiled a big list of US veterans, with The Rock choosing one to be surprised with their own brand-new Mustang.

The college football star, turned wrestler, turned actor hand-picked Marlene Rodriguez, an army combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient, and surprised her.

Marlene is taken aback by the gift and asks "Why?". Dwayne replies, emotionally: "Because of everything you've done," before expanding in his Instagram post: "[Because of the] boundless gratitude and respect I have for you, Marlene and all our men and women who've served our country."

Things get very emotional as Marlene says that she 'doesn't deserve all this' and the actor tells her she deserves more.

Now, she can take her new car to watch her beloved Dodgers.

You can watch the full video here, which is a real tearjerker.

Over the festive period The Rock shared the story of the gift he got his dad for Christmas.

Rocky Johnson, who was also a professional wrestler, like his dad before him and his son after him, became homeless after an altercation with his mum and her boyfriend one Christmas. The Rock told the story of how back then he only needed and wanted the bare minimum, and continues to live by that mentality.

"Crazy story, my dad's dad died when he was 13 years old," he wrote on Instagram. "That Christmas, my dad's mom had her new boyfriend over for Christmas dinner. Her boyfriend got drunk and pissed on the turkey.

"My dad went outside, got a shovel, drew a line in the snow and said if you cross that line I'll kill you. The drunk crossed it and my dad laid him cold as a block of ice.

"Cops were called. They told my dad's mum that when her boyfriend regains consciousness, he's gonna kill your son so one of them has got to go.

"In front of the entire family, my dad's mum looked at him and said get out. He was 13 years old and now homeless. That fucked up true story happened in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1954. He needed the bare minimum then, just like he does now."

What a guy.
