I wonder if she got meatballs.

If you've ever had a spare bit of money going, as well as a valid driver's licence, you've probably thought about renting a decent car.

Just for a few days, perhaps, you can leave the battered 2006 Fiat Punto outside your house and drive off into the sunset at 100+ mph in a Lamborghini, fooling everyone into thinking you're a baller.

A 'smartly dressed' woman decided she'd do just that, hiring a £250,000 Lamborghini Huracán Spyder from the Swiss company Schweiwiller Automotive Luxury Car Rental. However, rather than simply showing off to her friends for a week, she pissed off to IKEA in London, and then completely disappeared.

The Lambo was driven from Zurich to Calais, where it was shipped across the channel to Dover, eventually ending up in Tottenham, completing a 630 milejourney. Since then, the GPS has seemingly been disabled and the company are no longer able to track where the car is.

It was reportedly last seen on Park Lane before it vanished.

"She looked well-groomed and had luggage, she said she wanted to attend a meeting in Strasbourg," Managing director Adriano Scheiwiller said. "Instead of returning she headed for London, the GPS had betrayed her, she showed how she was shipping the car to Calais and transported it to England.

"It has already been spotted in London.

"It is a big loss and I hope the insurance company will pay out.

"The British police have done nothing yet, the phone for this woman no longer works.

"We are offering 5,000 Swiss francs to whomever finds the vehicle."

The unnamed woman allegedly left a deposit of 2,500 Swiss francs (around £2,000), as well as an Irish identity card, which she left at the dealership.

Clearly channeling his inner Sherlock Holmes, Scheiwiller is of the belief that the ID is fake.
