Photoshop isn't the easiest of software to use. Sure, once you've got the hang of it, it becomes a lot simpler, but during the period when you have to learn everything, it can be a right pain in the arse.
It requires patience and perseverance, two things that the majority of people do not have.
If it doesn't all come together within about five minutes, or indeed you can't download it to your computer, you go to a trusted ally - MS Paint.

Don't get me wrong, it was great back in school when there was nowt else to do other than draw loads of squiggly lines then filling them with various colours and so on, but for creating highly detailed and edited pics it's not so good.
But, if you put enough time into it, you can make your time on Paint worthwhile. Much like Pat Hines.
A writer, Hines couldn't be bothered learning the ins and outs of Photoshop, and so continued to use Paint, which he'd used for ten years, to illustrate his book Camp Redblood And The Essential Revenge, according to Bored Panda.

"I suck at Photoshop and other programs, and have worked exclusively in Microsoft Paint for over ten years... I honed my craft working long overnights at a hospital reception desk," he wrote on Imgur.
"[I] decided to write and self-publish an e-book about a summer camp set in the 1980's surrounded by ghosts and monsters, and filled with goofy campers and counselors, where the teenagers are always trying to get drunk or laid."
He uploaded some of the illustrations, and wow, they're amazing...

Pat says that if you don't believe him all you need to do is to zoom in on the pictures.
If that isn't enough he says: "Go to my deviant page and see processes of similar work I've created in Paint. captainredblood.deviantart.com."
This is great.
