Kate Moss Immortalised In Limbless Naked Sculpture Called 'MILF'

Popular supermodel Kate Moss has perhaps reached the peak of success as she's been honoured with her own sculpture called 'MILF'.

The bust, which shows Moss naked and limbless, costs £25,000 and was created by a Lithuanian artist called Edgar Askelovic.

It was uncovered at the Opera Gallery in London this weekend, weighing in at 80kg, and is a nod to Moss' global success and impact on the modelling world.

"Edgar drove from Germany with the sculpture to show me" gallery director Jean-David Malat said.

"At 29, he is a young artist and this sculpture has been created through photographs alone, which is amazing."

The sculptor originally impressed Malat with his controversial Diamond Dog-inspired sculpture of David Bowie - as half-man, half-dog and so asked if he could create a piece, 'depicting Kate Moss as a combination of Venus, icon and mannequin - a goddess of the fashion industry'.

It took him four months to hand-craft the end product, using photos to get the right shape and realism. He used top quality platinum silicone, with eyes made from eerily realistic, UV-resistant Polyurethane Resin.

"MILF has no arms, implying both Venus and dummy, simultaneously. Kate Moss could have been a mannequin, but instead she has became a goddess in the fashion industry," Malat said.

Askelovic said of his work: "All of my artworks are made by myself, from A to Z. Sculpting, mould-making, casting, colouring, sanding, polishing and crate making.

"Many artists and hyperrealistic sculptors use factories to produce their art, with some of them using already existing body parts such as eyes and teeth."

It can be yours for £25,000, if you fancy it. It's pretty realistic to be fair - a lot more realistic then Cristiano Ronaldo's sculpture at Madeira Airport, where he is seen as a local hero, modelling the rags-to-riches story.

Staying quiet on the whole debacle of whether it actually looks more like him or Niall Quinn, Ronaldo simply tweeted: "Happy and honoured to have my name given to the Madeira airport."

At least his memory will forever be etched in our minds because of his unbelievable talent, rather than this statue.
