A satellite that was 'lost' nearly 50 years ago in space has started transmitting messages. This is deep space stuff.
The LES1 went missing in 1967 and was suspected to have been found by amateur astronomers in 2013, but has only just decided to work now. Talk about a lazy attitude.
British Amateur Radio Astronomer Phil Williams was first to retrieve a signal from the satellite. He and fellow astronomers are reported to be shocked by the messages.

Williams noted that eerie and 'ghostly sounds' were being retrieved. I might be guessing here but there is a possibility that alien life forms are actually after nudes.
There is also the more likely possibility that a component failure caused the satellite's transmitter to start up again. The machine is said to be tumbling through space, so the signals send intermittently when the the solar panels come into the light.
The LES1 was launched from Cape Canaveral on February 11, 1965, but failed to complete its intended mission in 1967, meaning it's been spinning out of control since.
