Man Fooled By Colleagues Into Believing He'd Won £100K On A Scratchcard

Man Fooled By Colleagues Into Believing He'd Won £100K On A Scratchcard

This is hilariously cruel

A video of a man expressing pretty much every emotion you can possibly feel has gone viral after he was tricked into believing he'd won £100K.

Gary Boon, a salesman, was given a load of lottery tickets, scratchcards and betting slips as part of his leaving present. However, with Gaz being kept in the dark, they'd added a cheeky little fake scratchcard in there to mess with him.

To be fair, when one of your workmates announces that they're leaving, there's a part of you that's really happy for them, but there's another part of you that hates them. Who are you going to go with now to get a meal deal? Who's going to keep you standing when you're on a work do and you've had too many Jägerbombs?

Gary, I'm sorry, you deserved a bit of a prank, especially if your new job is much better.

Anyway, in the video you can hear his mates having a conversation as they record him. Acting natural, boys, I like it. He's just there, scratching away, when you see him stop in disbelief.

The 35-year-old leans over and interrupts the group, stating: "Guys, I need to stop you. I've won £100,000."

The group of friends react in faux-shock with choruses of, "Oh my God" and "What the fuck!" He gets up, clearly in shock, before asking them if it's a fake ticket.

To be fair to his mates, they tell him the truth straight away - although you can pretty much pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks in half when they reveal the truth.

In fact, he holds his head in his hands and looks like he might be crying. Apparently, at the time, he was thinking about paying off his mortgage. Ouch.

The prank happened last Friday at a pub in Strelley, Nottingham. I'm pretty sure he's not over it yet.

His co-worker, Will, said: "We all went to the pub after work and we got him a few bits and bobs and a leaving card. He was scratching through the real ones and then he got to the fake and I was secretly recording.

"Everyone was talking and he stopped us and said, 'I've got to talk to you'. We were in a bit of a rough pub and he said after he whispered because he didn't want anyone to steal the ticket.

"We couldn't stop laughing. I cry when I laugh and I was in fits."

It turns out that Gary won £30 on a racing bet that evening. Alright, it's not £100K but it's better than nothing, right?
