Prankster Parents Slammed For Cruel Joke That Left Children In Tears

I genuinely don't see the humour in this.

Prank videos seem to be all the rage these days. Whether it's a girlfriend trying a honey-pot scheme on their unsuspecting partner or a run-of-the-mill joke involving a few mates - they're usually pretty harmless.

But then there are some people who go too far.

DaddyOFive is a YouTube account which features Mike Martin's family in Maryland, USA.

Judging from their video collection they do a lot of pranks but it appears that this one has attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.

Mike and his wife teamed up to scare their son. They put invisible ink onto the carpet and blamed the kid.

In the video, the mum said that this was particularly funny because her son actually did spill ink onto the carpet a while back and they had to pay to get it cleaned up.

"We're going to make him think that he did it again, and he's going to feel bad because he really didn't do it, so we're going to see how this thing goes," she says to the camera.

Now as I was watching it for the first time I thought, 'Ooo I wonder how they'll play this'. What I didn't expect was the mum screaming, like literally shrieking at the top of her lungs are her son.

These screams include such classic phrases as, "Get your fucking ass up here" and "What the fuck did you do? What the fuck!"

Dad jumps in saying: "What the hell is that? What the hell is that"

Despite her yelling back that he doesn't know what it is and exclaims that he didn't do anything, mum and dad keep screaming at him.

At this point it would have been fun to end the prank so that no one else got hurt. But the accusations went on for another three minutes while the youngster started to cry.

Imagine when you and your parents got into a row and picture that fight lasting a full three minutes of sustained shouting and screaming.

Once mum and dad revealed that it was just innocent invisible ink which would easily come off, the pair couldn't help cackling at their sobbing sons. Their laughs sound like they're saying: "Haha how could you be so fucking stupid to fall for that?" Well they are children, so there's that.

Dad puts the camera in front of their faces and says: "You just got owned. It's just a prank bra. You guys got pranked hard."

Not only did these parents subject these kids to an insanely amount of verbal abuse but then, the dad makes Cody do a sign off asking people to subscribe to their YouTube channel.

The video has now been removed from the site for 'violating YouTube's policy on harassment and bullying'.

They've copped so much hate that they uploaded a 21 minute video to YouTube defending themselves saying it was JUST a prank. But they also posted an apology on Twitter:

Even that post got hate mail. One user posted: "I hope these kids don't genuinely feel like they have to cover for you by saying everything is ok."

Another added: "What little kid is going to go against a parent who clearly psychologically abuses them for @YouTube money? These are garbage parents."

Their words not mine.
