The Big Show Is Looking Majorly Lean Ahead Of Wrestlemania

At his best.

Anyone who's ever claimed to be a wrestling fan knows of The Big Show. Away from his incredible ability and a mainstay in the WWE, he's known as one big fucker.

Standing at over seven feet tall, and once being billed as a 500 pounder, he's impossible to miss.

Back in 1999 he made his debut in the WWE, known then by his real name Paul Wight. He made the jump from WCW to Vince McMahon's promotion, diving straight into headline territory, interfering in a cage match between Vince and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Back then, he had hair. Lots of it. That's changed, but he's still as big, if not bigger. In fact, it's a wonder how he fit under the ring when he interrupted the match between Austin and McMahon - he's fucking huge. Also, did I mention he's massive?

Nowadays there is still focus on Show's body, yet it's not his height. In the lead up to WWE's flagship event, Wrestlemania, the big man is preparing to take on Shaq, who will be a guest at the annual event.

The giant keeps posting updates on his social media of him in the gym. The work he's put in is evident, and he's now looking majorly lean.

Now 45-years-old, he's still taking it very seriously, something he's previously alluded to. He told WWE.com: "It was definitely a conscious decision. You don't make the transformation I've made without a serious commitment to changing 40 years of improper diet and improper training."

According to New York Post Show now trains with celebrity trainer Dodd Romero, who has worked with Denzel Washington and Alex Rodriguez, combating poor diet and poor training techniques to make him look the best he ever has.

"Right now my schedule's pretty light, but if I'm home three days, I train every day. If I'm home ten days, I train every day," he said. "Right now, mostly, everything I count on is high-rep. I'm not trying to build muscle right now, I'm trying to keep my metabolism up, keep my tendons strong, keep my joints good, and cut a lot of fat.

"We'll get to the muscle-building end of it once I get my body fat down to where I want it to be."

Though he admits he'll never look like Triple H or John Cena, you certainly can't fault the effort he's put into his transformation.

Unfortunately he has had to ditch pizza, ice cream, and meatball subs from his diet, so you have to really feel for him.

Hopefully the wrestler's impressive weight cut can help him put in another few years in the business he's helped grow since the 90s.

That'd be in everyone's best interest too, because he's got some good stories from his time there.

He shared a story with TheSPORTbible about another big name in the WWE, The Undertaker, whom he has tag-teamed with multiple times over the years.

When it was touched upon how The Undertaker mentored Show during his early WWE days, a look of pain shot across the giant's face as he recalled all the bollockings 'Taker dished out to him on a regular basis.

"Yeah, thanks for bringing up that pain," winces Show, "I was the young boy, he was the master and he used to crack the whip on me every single day.

"Undertaker is one of the greatest and smartest guys in the history of the business. He understands his character so well and he's an expert in psychology. I was lucky enough to come in at a time and have him as my mentor when there wasn't a lot of mentors around. It was extremely competitive and no one gave a crap if you succeeded or not. As long as you could put asses in seats, that's all anyone cared about.

"I had a lot of potential but I was green as grass. Hogan always took care of me in WCW. Flair told me what to do and so did Randy [Savage] and Arn [Anderson]. I just got in the ring and did what I was told. When I got to the WWE I had to do my own thing because no one was thinking for me.

"During that time period, 'Taker took me under his wing and man, it was old school. He would chew my ass out every night for something. I remember every night driving in my car thinking, 'Well I'm a fat piece of trash'."

However, despite Show's initial difficulties at adjusting to life under The Undertaker's wing, he would go onto become one of the finest big men the business has ever seen, accumulating a number of world titles in what is sure to be a career that lands him in the WWE Hall Of Fame. The pair would go on to engage in feuds over the next few years and have a number of memorable matches. One of which Show was particularly proud of, yet 'Taker, perhaps less so.

"We had a great match many years later, one of my favourite matches I've ever had. I sent him a text a bit later and said 'hey man, thanks for such a great match, I appreciate everything you've done for me, you're the man'.

"He sends me a text back and it's a picture of his balls and he's flipping me the bird! I didn't know how to reply to that!

"I didn't see him for about a month afterwards and when I did he just went red and started laughing. I said 'Yeah thanks for that' and he asked 'Well, did you get the message?'. Yeah, loud and clear!"

So, yeah, The Undertaker's balls. Nice.
