Given our willingness to watch literally any video that goes viral, we very rarely give a second thought to something that we've been tagged in or that pops up in our newsfeeds.

And rightly so, to be honest. There's nothing to really think about when watching a video. That's why a clip that is currently going viral is catching people out.

The video is only three seconds long and simply plays music while someone throws what looks like a pack of cards into the air and catches it. The word 'honey' appears over the footage followed by some writing. Shortly after, the video causes iPhones to crash.

YouTuber EverythingApplePro explained why the file causes phones to crash, claiming that it's because it has come from the Russian version of Facebook called VKontakte. When following the link, it opens in Safari, which then causes devices to slow down before eventually freezing.

It's unknown whether the effects from the video are unintentional or not. However,if you are a victim of it all that needs to be done is a 'hard reset'by holding down the home and power buttons simultaneously or, on the iPhone 7, the power and volume buttons.
