Footage of an air strike believed to have taken out an ISIS headquarters has been released.

Officials from Operation Inherent Resolve claim that the Ashur Hotel, which is situated on the banks of the River Tigris, was being used as military headquarters.

Watch how

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is part of the United States Air Force and took out its target with ease.

Yahoo News reported that the area around the hotel was captured by Iraqi forces on 14th March, and that the military have since 'continued to push further northwest into Mosul's Old City'.

It's not clear whether these two incidents are connected, but it has since been reported that six ISIS leaders have been killed in an air strike.

Rudaw named them as Milaz Siru (British), Saleh Ahmed (French), Abdulkarim al-Rusi (Russian), Abu Dihaa al-Maghribi and Abdullah Hamud (both Moroccan), and Yousif Awni (Turkish).

This comes after an ISIS bomb 'expert' accidentally blew himself and another Jihadi up.

In February, in the town of Shirat in Iraq, an ISIS bomb expert only known as Abu Abdullah tried to plant roadside explosives to hurt civilians but instead triggered the devices and died in the blast.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that perhaps Abu Abdullah was a rookie. In fact, he was actively involved in ISIS bombings and booby trap planting across all of Iraq.

According to Iraqi News, Abu Abdullah was a second-tier ISIS leader - which is very high up in the terrorist group.

He is thought to be responsible for the masterminding of the booby trapping of the city of Mosul.
