If you think you're having a bad day, then please spare a thought for these poor buggers who found themselves involved in a five-car-pile-up involving 7,500lbs of eels and what I can only describe as slime.
Salvatore J. Tragale was driving a truck filled with 13 containers of hagfish - also known as 'slime eels' - when he hit backed-up traffic, and found he was unable to stop in time. The result? Thirteen containers of eels, plus slime, all over the show.
Thanks
The containers spilling over led to a five-car-pile-up, but luckily no one was hurt.

Look at this poor person's car, though - it's like something from Mars Attacks.

Erin Butler, who saw the weird incident, told KMOV: "They were writhing and slimy, and it was unbelievable, just unbelievable. It was disgusting." Yeah, you can say that again.

Oregon State Police seemed to have a bit of fun with the whole thing, tweeting:
The hagfish, which produce slime to help them escape
predators, were reported to have been heading out to Korea, where they are
eaten, before disaster struck. It's not been reported what happened to the eels
following the crash, but it probably wasn't a happy ending.
