Barron Trump Thought His Dad Had Been Beheaded After Seeing 'Joke' On TV

American comedian Kathy Griffin shocked the world yesterday when she released images of herself holding what appears to be Donald Trump's decapitated head.

Yup, you read that correctly. The star worked in collaboration with photographer Tyler Shields to procduce images which make for uncomfortable viewing...

Donald Trump has since responded to the images on Twitter, and alluded to the fact that his 11-year-old son is having particular issues with seeing the photos.

According to TMZ, a source close to the family revealed to them that Barron was watching TV when the news came on. It was at this point that he saw the 'bloody, beheaded image'. He reportedly panicked and screamed, "Mommy, Mommy!".

The source said: "He's 11. He doesn't know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad."

Griffin has since removed the images, as has the photographer, and she has released an apology.
