A charity swimmer who rocked up to the airport in just his swimming trunks was disappointed to be told he couldn't fly unless he put some clothes on. I don't really know what he was expecting.
Greig Bannatyne turned up at a Malawi airport wearing his SA-flag printed budgie smugglers and some flip flops because he forgot to bring a change of clothes after taking part in a sponsored swim.
Greig is part of a group of charity swimmers called the Mad Swimmers - of course he is - who upon discovering that he didn't have a change clothes decided to sponsor him to make the journey home in just his trunks.
He said: "Somehow I didn't get the memo and everyone else had made sure they had a top and shorts to throw on for the six hour boat trip back.
"So, while we enjoyed our victory beers, I was still in my Speedos.
"It really spiralled from there with more and more of the swimmers and support crew pledging money if I attempted to fly home in my Speedos.

After a four-hour bus journey, the team arrived at the airport where Greig was told by a security guard that he wouldn't be able to fly; however, once they explained it was for charity they let him through.
In fact, he managed to make it all the way to passport control before someone told him to put some kecks on. Greig explained that he was stopped by police and because he had no official papers for the sponsorship they told him to put some shorts and T-shirt on, which I think is fair enough.
Thanks to Greig's ballsy display, they raised almost £2,000, which they will send to children's charities and orphanages.
