When you think of Hawaii, you probably picture surfer dudes, sandy beaches and blistering sunshine. Maybe you imagine yourself drinking a cold beer while watching hula dancers in grass skirts. It's the image Hollywood has portrayed and, to be fair, is pretty much on the money.
So the fact it's been snowing there is a bit fucking weird, right?
We're not talking about a light dusting. In some areas it's been measured at a whopping three feet (90cm) deep. Granted, this has been around the highest peaks of the island, but this is still very unusual.
Speaking to USA Today, staff meteorologist Matthew Foster said: "As long as we have deep enough clouds to support ice crystals, and when you have cold enough temperatures at the summit level, you can get snowfall."

He added: "Some years we might not get any, some years we might get more."
As you can imagine, Twitter users have reacted with the appropriate level of confusion.
